There’s one member of our farm family who is doggedly determined to make sure our guests enjoy their time at Croft Meadows Farm: Mia, our Hungarian Vizsla. Whether she’s snoozing in the perfect shady spot or ‘inspecting’ the ducks at the pond, Mia likes to show our guests how to relax, unwind, and have a bit of fun.

It’s an ideal dog’s life at Croft Meadows Farm, and Mia is our best guide to show you around. Hungarian Vizslas are known for their gentle, yet energetic temperaments and Mia’s playfully quirky personality has been winning over our guests since she arrived. A natural to country life, Mia helps her family with the daily chores on our working farm, accompanying them as they tend to the fields and other residents on the property.

Doggy Snacks

Treats in the local pub for your four legged friend.

From walking and biking paths, to tranquil picnic spots, Mia knows how to enjoy all that our holiday cottage hideaway has to offer.  Affectionate and loyal, Hungarian Vizslas, like Mia, love spending time with people, hiking through the North Staffordshire countryside, and exploring the farm with her new friends. And if one of your walks takes you into Leek, the dog-friendly local pubs will make you feel welcome with a delicious pint (and maybe a biscuit for Mia).

As Mia is a part of our family, we know that a family friendly holiday often means including your own four-legged family member. Our self-catering cottage can serve one well-behaved dog, so you can enjoy your stay and the surrounding countryside with your canine companion. Just make sure you say ‘hi’ to Mia who will be the first to welcome you to Croft Meadows Farm.
